// 01_public_key
Public key.
The OpenPGP key for NorseHorse, the developer of PGPony. Use it to encrypt a security report or to verify a signed release.
Fingerprint:
A0CB C8F6 5AAC E56F 1C5B 7677 53F9 798E 4919 DE62
Verify before you trust. Confirm this fingerprint through a second channel
before relying on it — compare it against the key inside the app, or against a copy you got
somewhere other than this page. A public key is only as trustworthy as your verification of it.

// 04_import_it
Import it.
In PGPony: open the Decrypt or Exchange tab, paste the block (or share the downloaded .asc into the app), and it lands in your keyring. From there you can encrypt to it or verify signatures from it.
With GnuPG on a desktop:
curl -O https://pgpony.app/assets/pgp/norsehorse.asc gpg --import norsehorse.asc gpg --fingerprint norsehorse@norsehor.se
Then check that the printed fingerprint matches the one at the top of this page before you encrypt anything sensitive to it.
// 05_what_to_use_it_for
What it's for.
- Security reports. If you're reporting a vulnerability and want to encrypt the details, encrypt to this key and send to NorseHorse@norsehor.se with subject SECURITY. See the disclosure policy.
- Verifying releases. Where a release or statement is signed with this key, a valid signature proves it came from the holder of the private key — not an impersonator.
- Private correspondence. Anything you'd rather not send in the clear.
